Subject: WOW! Thanks to all of you
who were able to attend or send your proxies to yesterdayâs annual meeting of the Northcreek Homeownersâ Assn. We had attendees or proxies for 35 homes, a 50 percent turnoutâŚwe have never seen such a turnout in our 14 years here.
Obviously, you all care about your homes and want an effective association. We are going to work hard to meet your expectation.
Special thanks to the Hastings and the Bohnets, Ellen Readio and Ann Crosby who have served Northcreek for so many years.
Soon we will be sending you (and posting) the names of your directors and officers for the coming year.
Again, thanks for your involvement!
In closing, hereâs a tip that Karin Hale mentioned yesterday: These houses are 14 years old. If you have not replaced tank bolts in your toilets, please check themâŚyou could save yourself a costly spill and cleanup. These are long brass bolts that attach the tank to the toilet. Over time, they tend to rust through. They are inexpensive and relatively easy to replace. Just make sure they are SNUG and not leaking before you refill the tank completely.
Also, 15 years is the life expectancy for the original hot water heaters in these houses. If you havenât replaced yours yet, you probably should have it checkedâŚESPECIALLY if your basement is carpeted!
Best wishes,
Rich Lathrop
