‘THE TREE’: UCAR notified President Precella it “may proceed with legal action” by Dec. 3 if the tree problem is not resolved by that time. Ellen Readio agreed to seek further negotiations to reduce NSHOA’s costs which could range as high as $2,736 for complete removal of the tree.
LANDSCAPE: The Board approved Ellen Readio’s design for the sign to replace the deteriorating community sign near the volleyball pit. At $1,500, the sign will be of similar size and color, fitting into the current brackets on the brick columns. Material is high density 2” foam, “as strong as wood” and extremely weather resistant. Design will prevent buildup of snow – and melting – on sign top which contributed to deterioration of original.
